2024 Watson Run HOA Seasonal Lawn Care & Landscaping Dear Watson Run Homeowners, In past seasons, homeowners have submitted requests to opt out of some or all of the lawn treatments, mowing and/or seasonal pruning of plants. If you previously opted out of services and still wish to do so, please complete the information by clicking on this link below and completing the 2024 Landscape Season & Opt-Out Form - Watson Run Community Association (watsonrunhoa.com)before February 16, 2024, so that your preferences can be added or updated. If you want all Association provided landscape services, you DO NOT have to do anything. Red Flag System: We will once again use the red flag system for you to indicate that you do not want the bushes/plants in your front garden to be trimmed on the dates the landscaper is scheduled to perform trimming (you will receive an email with trimming dates once we have them). Please use ONE red flag in your front beds to indicate that you are opting out of trimming – it is not necessary to mark every mulch bed or individual plants. If you have extra red flags that you no longer need, please return them to the bucket next to the fireplace in the lobby of the clubhouse so others who need them can get them. If you need to opt out of a service temporarily due to something going on in your yard, please email [email protected] so that change can be communicated well in advance of the scheduled service. Grass Height: Please note that Ruppert Landscaping cannot accept requests for grass to be cut to a specific length. They maintain an industry standard of height throughout the community. The lawn mowing crews strive to do a good job and to avoid damaging property. On your scheduled mowing day, please make sure that there are no items left in your yard (hoses, sprinklers, gutter extensions, etc.) that could be damaged by the mowers. Those items should be moved out of the way and stored during mowing. Spring Clean Up and Mulch: Ruppert Landscaping will be sending landscape crews on February 19th to start spring cleanup, which consists of perennial cut back in beds and minor leaf clean up in front beds. Ruppert does this so they don’t mulch over dead plants or leaves. Then, Ruppert Landscaping will be moving into edging beds and tree rings. Lastly, landscape crews should be coming around February 28th to begin mulching - this is all weather dependent. Please note that the Association's landscape crew only mulches the front of homes. If you wish to have Ruppert Landscaping provide you with a quote to mulch your sides and rear of the home, please reply to this email and we will provide your inquiry to Ruppert Landscaping for follow-up. Sincerely, Watson Run Community Association
